My name is Shay (he/they), and I am an 18-year-old photographer and artist based in both Seattle, Washington, and Victoria, BC. I have been creating art and photography for as long as I can remember, and I am excited to be pursuing my BFA at the University of Victoria beginning fall 2025.
My work spans portraits, film-inspired imagery, and studio photography, with a portfolio that reflects both versatility and personal connection. One of my favorite subjects is my dog, Daisy, and my partner's cats, Peach and Daisy, who often appear in my work. Outside of art, I love cooking, hanging out with friends, and being with animals.
As a queer, trans, neurodivergent individual, I'm committed to uplifting my communities through my creative practice. Whether working with oil pastels, my camera, or mixed media, I hope my art can be a source of strength and joy for everyone.
